Alexa Chung is reportedly engaged to her boyfriend Tom Sturridge after months of rumors.
The 40-year-old model first sparked engagement rumors with the 38-year-old actor in June, with the couple seen wearing matching rings in October.
Now the couple are said to be “over the moon” and planning a “posh” summer wedding ceremony.
A source told The Sun: “Alexa has confirmed to her friends that she is indeed engaged to Tom and is over the moon.
“She’s in a great place and seems completely crazy about him. It’s a great match.
“They worked hard planning a wedding with all their close friends.
“It won’t be a massive party but a smaller, classier and cooler party.”
MailOnline has contacted Alexa and Tom’s representatives for comment.
Last February, Alexa stepped out wearing bridal white and sporting a ring on her wedding finger while attending Paris Fashion Week.
Posing for photos ahead of the Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2024-2025 ready-to-wear show, she paired a plunging satin blazer with matching high-waisted pants.
Alexa completed her elegant outfit with a pair of black patent loafers and carried a designer buckle handbag.
She styled her hair in tousled waves and opted for subtle makeup with dark pink lipstick.
Last June, Alexa was spotted with a ring on her wedding finger, leading people to assume they were engaged.
Son of award-winning director Charles Sturridge, Tom seems open to marriage, while Alexa, for her part, previously mused: “I just don’t understand why marriage is any different from not marriage – I just don’t understand. ” ‘
His spokesperson declined to comment when asked about the rumors.
Tom and Alexa went public with their romance last July when they attended day seven of the Wimbledon Championships.
In a nod to their very unique setup, during their first public outing, they were joined by Sienna Miller, who looked cheerful as she sat in front of the couple.
Tom and Sienna dated for four years and split in 2015. They are still on good terms, with Sienna calling Tom her “best friend.”
Sienna gave her ex and Alexa her seal of approval and told Vogue UK in December: “I’m really happy for them. It’s really charming.
The Layer Cake actress even joked about their co-parenting situation and revealed that their daughter Marlowe brought home one of Alexa’s sweaters, which she has since claimed for herself. Sienna joked: “I have one upstairs!”
After their split in 2015, it was claimed that Sienna and Tom had different goals. A source said: “Tom wanted to get married and have more children. Sienna didn’t.
“This year it all blew up with Tom in London and Sienna living separate lives in the US and [her appearance at] Cannes’.
Alexa, on the other hand, has enjoyed many high-profile romances.
Her exes include Alex Turner, Alexander Skarsgård, Orson Fry, Albert Hammond Jr., Faris Badwan, Faris Badwan and Theo Hutchcraft.
In 2018, she spoke to Porter about marriage, saying: “I just don’t understand why marriage is any different from not marriage – I just don’t understand…I think having a partner in life must be rather nice, but I don’t do it. “no need for a wedding day per se”.
