Chelsea beat rivals West Ham by a score of 5-0 this afternoon, a result which temporarily lifted them to seventh in the Premier League table. United, however, have the chance to get ahead of them when they travel to Crystal Palace on Monday evening.

The Blues continued their strong home form at Stamford Bridge by brushing aside West Ham. Indeed, this now makes four consecutive home league victories (West Ham, Tottenham, Everton, Manchester United).

Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson (two) were all on the scoresheet this weekend.

Silva bows out in style

It has been confirmed that Silva will leave Stamford Bridge this summer after four fantastic years in west London.

If you see the way Silva strutted onto the pitch today against West Ham, it makes you think he could have played a fifth season if the parties had agreed to it.

He played 35 games and counting this last campaign as a Chelsea player. There is no doubt that he is considered a true cult hero.

WhoScored data from Chelsea’s dominant win over West Ham proves Silva still has it at the highest level.
